Today
we went shopping!
Most
of our time was spent at my favourite store in Paris...
Galeries
Lafayette, Haussmann has become a Paris icon
since
its creation in 1894, and is a must-visit venue.
The department store’s beautiful Art Nouveau Cupola
The department store’s beautiful Art Nouveau Cupola
encloses
70,000 square metres of retail floor space dedicated to fashion. More
than 3,500 brands from around the world,
ranging
from the affordable to luxury,
can
be found in the three buildings, along with 25 restaurants.
We
had lunch up on the terrace, there are great views over Paris.
You
can see the Pompidou Centre, Opera Garnier, Eiffel Tower
the
top of the Arc de Triomphe and Sacre Coeur.

I've
had a wonderful day...Andrew suggested I look for something
new
to wear to the functions we'll be attending when we return home.
I
didn't need to have my arm twisted and found
something
perfect by the French designer IRO.
THEN
he suggested I look for some
shoes
to go with it. By the end of the day...mission accomplished.
Andrew's
Brownie Point tally really soared today!

Tomorrow
will be our last full day in Paris,
we'll
just take it easy and organise our packing.
Tomorrow
night we're going to Le Crazy Horse Cabaret.
We
looked at Moulin Rouge and Lido too but in the end
after
advice from Fleur we decided on Le Crazy Horse.
It's
described like this...
More
risqué than the other cabarets, Le Crazy Horse,
whose
art du nu was invented in 1951 by Alain Bernadin,
is
an ode to feminine beauty: lookalike dancers with provocative names
like
Flamma Rosa and Nooka Caramel, and identical body statistics
(when
standing, the girls' nipples and hips are all the same height)
move
around the stage, clad only in rainbow light
and
strategic strips of black tape.
Ooh la la! It
should be an interesting evening!
On
Tuesday we will explore Montmartre
before heading
to
the airport for our 9pm flight.

We've
had a great holiday and have had lots of
positive
feedback about the blog.
It's
been lovely to have you all following along.
It
was intended to be our travel diary and it
should
be a record of the holiday that we can look back
on
from time to time.
We
feel very lucky to be able to explore new places
and
will have to start planning our next adventure.
Au
revoir for now, avec amour de Michelle & Andrew xx
